As published in Associated Press, the US government started cracking down on illegal sports betting websites.
The Department of Justice (DoJ), US indicted 11 people in a case related to illegal sports betting and iGambling. All the people involved in running Red44, which was hosted on the offshore server of Costa Rica. Homeland Security was also on the case for 17 years and with a major break through as all the websites were legalized but Red44.com took millions of dollars from people and failed to pay $20 million in excise taxes.

All the 11 people indicted people were senior managers and directors of Red44. Moreover, detailed reports are awaited.
